A Mercer County woman is facing numerous charges after an incident that began in May with a DVD and a death.
According to State Police, a man identified as George Wolfe delivered a note and a DVD to the Mercer County District Attorney’s Office in May. The note indicated that the DVD contained footage of George and Barbara Wolfe molesting two young girls.
After confirming that the note was accurate, Hermitage police responded to the Wolfe residence on Winner Road where they found George Wolfe deceased. That death is currently under investigation but the note indicated that George Wolfe was considering suicide.
Analysis of the video revealed that the sexual assaults occurred in the mid 1990s at a residence in Tionesta. Barbara Wolfe was taken into custody earlier this week and booked into the Warren County Jail on charges including Rape of a Mentally Ill or Deficient Victim, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Aggravated Indecent Assault of a child under 14 years of age, and Filming a sex act with a child.
