When Seneca Valley School District returns to school tomorrow, masks will be required.
The board voted 7-2 last night to approve mandated masks whenever Butler County is in “high” or “substantial” transmission categories.
Two weeks ago the district had decided to just recommend masks, but opted to revise the policy amid a growing number of COVID cases.
Seneca Valley will move back to recommending masks when Butler County falls to the “moderate” or “low” levels of transmission.
Seneca Valley also becomes the first public school district to mandate masks this school year.
