The number of local residents requiring hospitalization for COVID-19 has increased again and another local death has been reported.
According to the Butler Health System, as of Tuesday morning 33 patients are hospitalized at Butler Memorial Hospital with three of those in the ICU. This is an increase of 10 compared to last Thursday.
The hospital reported one death to the state on Saturday.
The current figure of 33 locally hospitalized COVID patients marks the highest count since vaccines became widely available in January.
