The Butler Health System will begin administering Pfizer vaccine booster shots starting Monday.
Late last week the CDC announced that the following groups are eligible to receive a booster shot:
- Healthcare workers
- Individuals over 65
- Residents of long-term care facilities
- Individuals ages 50-65 with underlying medical conditions
- Individuals ages 18-49 with underlying medical conditions, based on individual risks
Officials say the recommendation to receive a Pfizer booster is at least six months after your 2nd dose.
The vaccine clinic is at the Butler Health System’s Crossroads Campus. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every weekday except Wednesday, which is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Appointments can be made by visiting Butler Health System’s website.
