Butler County organizations will receive a large amount of federal funding through the state to help address the impact of coronavirus on homeless residents.
The Department of Community and Economic Development is awarding a total of over $5 million to 25 counties including nearly $400,000 to help Butler County residents through Catholic Charities and The Care Center.
This money will be used to provide for Emergency Shelter, Homeless Prevention, and Rapid Rehousing.
This funding is available as part of the Emergency Solutions Grant CARES Act through a supplemental appropriation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
