The Georgia Bulldogs finally unseated their long-time rival Alabama Crimson Tide with a 33-18 victory in the College Football Playoff National Championship game last night. The Bulldogs came from behind in the fourth quarter after Alabama built an 18-13 lead. Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns and was named the game’s offensive MVP. The Bulldogs defense sacked Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Bryce Young three times and picked off two of his passes.
Georgia won its first national championship in 41 years with the win.
