The Pittsburgh Penguins carry a six-game winning streak into their game tonight with the Seattle Kraken. Face-off is 7pm at PPG Paints Arena. Pre-game begins at 6:30pm on WISR.
The Penguins have agreed to a new two-year contract with Jeff Carter. The 37-year old was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings at the trade deadline last season and scored 13 goals in 20 games, including playoffs last year. Carter has 12 goals and 26 points in 36 games this season. Only Jake Guentzel has scored more goals since the Pens acquired Carter. He is a two-time Stanley Cup winner, who scored his 400th career goal back in October. The new deal averages just over $3 million.
