A local motorist was injured following a one car crash that occurred late last week in Slippery Rock Township.
According to State Police, a 21-year-old Zelienople man was traveling on Route 8 just before 8am on Friday (February 18th) when he lost control of his car due to ice and slush on the roadway.
Authorities say that the vehicle then went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Police say that the motorist, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
