The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the New Jersey Devils 6-1 last night on their home ice. The Devils took a 3-0 lead in the first seven minutes of the game, and were leading 4-0 before the Pens scored their first goal mid-way through the second period. Evgeni Malkin scored his seventh goal of the season on a Penguins power play. Goaltender Tristan Jarry was pulled from the game after allowing five goals.
The Pens have now lost three games in a row and will host the New York Rangers Saturday afternoon. Face-off is 3pm. Pre-game on WISR is 2:30pm.
The Rangers have moved one point in front of the Penguins in the Metropolitan Division after defeating Washington 4-1 last night. The Rangers have won eight of their last 11 games.
The Pens visit Columbus Sunday night for a 6pm face-off. WISR pre-game is 5:30pm.
