Major League Baseball will return with a full 162-game schedule this year after baseball owners and the players union agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement Thursday afternoon.
The players voted 26-12 in favor of the proposal, with all major league owners voting in approval.
Players will begin to report to spring training this weekend, and practices will begin Sunday. Opening day will now be April 7th.
The Pirates will open their season in St. Louis. Their home opener will be against the Chicago Cubs April 12th. The first spring training game for the Bucs will be against Baltimore March 18th in Bradenton.
