The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Las Vegas Knights 5-2 Friday night in Pittsburgh.
Mark Friedman’s first goal in 10 months early in the third period broke open a tie game to make it 3-2. Bryan Rust, Mike Matheson, Jeff Carter and Evan Rodrigues also scored for Pittsburgh. Tritan Jarry made 39 saves in the game. With the win the Pens move past the New York Rangers and into second place in the Metropolitan Division.
The Pens will take on the Hurricanes tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m. You can hear coverage of that game on WISR 680am starting at 12:30 p.m. with the pregame show.
