The first case of the bird flu has been detected in Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission says it was found in a dead bald eagle in Chester County. The commission also says they are investigating suspected cases in Clarion and Venango Counties.
This strain of bird flu is known as HPAI and can lead to sickness or death in wild poultry, hawks, crows, ducks, and more.
The CDC says that while the disease could potentially infect humans, it’s considered to be a very low risk. No human cases have been reported in the United States.
