A business owner from Erie will challenge Congressman Mike Kelly for a seat in Washington.
62-year-old Dan Pastore was able to secure the Democratic nomination for the 16th Congressional District over Lawrence County farmer Richard Telesz.
Pastore owns FishUSA, a fishing store based in Erie. This is the first time he’s run for political office, describing himself as a “moderate” who is concerned about the divisiveness in Washington.
In addition to Butler County, the 16th District also includes Mercer, Erie, Crawford, Lawrence, and part of Venango Counties. All results are unofficial until approved by the Election Boards of those counties.
