The Pittsburgh Penguins announced on Saturday that the team reached an agreement with forward Bryan Rust on a contract extension.
Officials say that the extension is for six years and is worth $30.75million. The deal is set to begin this coming season and will continue until the 2027-2028 season. The average annual value of the extension is $5.125million.
The 30-year-old Rust was drafted 80th overall by the Penguins in 2010.
