WPIAL Softball Playoffs:
–Seneca Valley defeated Hempfield 7-2 in the Class 6A Semifinals. Lexie Hames pitched a complete game with 15 strikeouts for Seneca Valley. Maddie Gross added a three-run home run. The Raiders will meet North Allegheny next Wednesday in the championship game at California University.
–North Allegheny defeated Pine-Richland 5-1 in the other semifinal.
Lacrosse:
–Chartiers Valley defeated the Mars Girls 17-6 in the Class 2A WPIAL championship game.
–The Mars Boys will meet Quaker Valley tonight in the 2A title game. The match begins at 8pm at Robert Morris University.
