The Pittsburgh Pirates completed a three-game series sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers following an 8-4 victory last night. Bryan Reynolds and Rodolfo Castro hit home runs for the Pirates. Castro drove in four runs.
It was the first series sweep for the Bucs at Dodgers Stadium since 2000. The Pirates had gone 2-23 against Los Angeles from 2017 to 2021, but went 5-1 this season against the Dodgers. It was also the first time the Pirates have swept a series in general since August 2020.
The Pirates are off today and will begin a three-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks at PNC Park Friday night.
