The automatic recount in the race for the Republican Senate nomination cost the state around $1 million.
Counties were required to recount the votes in the Republican primary per Pennsylvania law. The difference between Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dave McCormick was less than 1,000 votes.
The Department of State says counties will be fully reimbursed for their efforts.
McCormick conceded to Oz late last week before the recount was finalized.
