It’s a great week to enjoy outdoor activities at Moraine State Park.
A seminar about Purple Martins is scheduled for Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Pavilion 7 McDanel’s Launch Area on the North Shore.
Bird experts will lead a discussion about the history of this bird and nest monitoring practices.
Participants will then be able to join a real nest check at Moraine’s Martin colony.
