A new resolution passed in the State Senate aims to looking into staffing issues at long term care facilities.
Republican State Senator Judy Ward of Blair County says a commission will be established to research the effects the pandemic had on staffing at long term care facilities.
“The study will examine several factors surrounding these staffing needs, including the wage rates for both staff nurses and contract nurses working in these facilities,” Ward said.
Ward also says the study will look at how these staffing issues impact Medicaid spending in Pennsylvania.
