Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin will not become an NHL free agent after agreeing last night to a new four-year deal worth just over $6 million per season. The deal will keep the Penguins core group of Malkin, Kris Letang and Sidney Crosby together for likely the remainder of their careers in Pittsburgh. The group has been together for 16 years.
