We reported earlier this month that Butler County and their election’s office will be recounting ballots from the 2020 election from select precincts. We now know when that will happen.
County commissioners say the recount of the three precincts will take place tomorrow at noon inside the conference room in the Government Center Annex.
Election workers will be taking all the ballots cast in the Middlesex Township, Donegal Township, and Butler City 4-1 precincts and hand count them followed by scanning them.
Commissioners say this is a part of reviewing and refining their election procedures. But it also comes after group of citizens over the last year have attended public meetings calling for a full forensic audit of the 2020 election.
This review is open to the public.
