Pitt head football coach Pat Narduzzi has named Kedon Slovis as the Panthers starting quarterback for the team’s season-opening game next Thursday against West Virginia. Slovis transferred to Pitt during the off-season. He started 27 games for the Crimson Tide before transferring. Pitt and West Virginia meet in the return of the “Backyard Brawl” at Acrisure Stadium September 1st.
