The Pittsburgh Steelers signed eight players they cut this week to their practice squad Wednesday. They include running back Anthony McFarland, receiver Cody White, offensive lineman John Leglue and defensive tackle Carlos Davis. Former third-round draft pick Justin Layne was claimed on waivers by the New York Giants. Layne was a 2019 Steelers draft selection.
The Steelers open their regular season Sunday, September 11th in Cincinnati.
