The Pittsburgh Pirates completed a four-game series sweep of the Cincinnati Reds following a 10-4 victory Thursday. The Pirates pounded 12 hits despite 14 strikeouts. Rodolfo Castro led the Bucs with a home run and four RBI’s. Ke’Bryan Hayes had three hits. Oneil Cruz hit his 15th home run of the year, despite striking out three times in four at-bats.
The Bucs are now in New York until next Wednesday. They open a four-game series with the Mets tonight beginning at 7:10. WISR pre-game is 6:45pm. After an off-day Monday, the Pirates will visit the New York Yankees for a two-game series.
