The number of local COVID cases declined slightly over the last week according to the Department of Health.
There were 180 confirmed cases of COVID during that time for Butler County—which is down slightly compared to last week.
The lower number of cases also combined with a lower number of local hospitalizations this past week, with Butler Memorial Hospital saying they were treating 12 patients as of Monday morning.
However, the Department of Health added four additional deaths to the county’s overall total since the beginning of the pandemic bringing the death toll to 789.
