A large fire at an apartment complex in Ross Township in Allegheny County required a response of more than 100 firefighters and 25 ambulance services—including some from Butler County.
Our news partners at WPXI-TV report that a call for a six alarm fire came around 7:45 p.m. last night at the Highlands at Chapel Hill apartment complex.
Six residents and two firefighters were taken to hospitals, although none of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.
Residents are gathering at a nearby church and receiving help from the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
