A man is facing homicide charges following an argument about hunting in Emlenton.
State police say the incident happened Saturday evening on Big Bend Road.
David Heathcote was inside a vehicle with Robert Cy Wingard when the two got into an argument over hunting. Police say Wingard then threatened Heathcote by saying he was going to shoot his daughter. That’s when Heathcote allegedly shot Wingard.
He then called police and told them he had shot Wingard, who died at the scene.
Heathcote was denied bail and is currently in the Venango County Jail.
