Health experts in Pennsylvania say the early stages of the fall are showing an active flu season.
The Department of Health has confirmed over 1,200 flu cases in Pennsylvania in just the first two weeks of October. That’s the highest the number has been in eight years.
Health officials note this is the first fall in two years where no pandemic restrictions are in place, which increases the possibility of contracting the flu.
They also say now is the best time to get a flu shot to help prepare for the season.
