Cleveland Guardians manager Terry Francona was named the American League Manager of the Year for the third time in 10 seasons Tuesday. Baltimore’s Brandon Hyde was the runner-up.
Buck Showalter of the New York Mets was the National League Manager of the Year. Showalter is the first manager to win the award with four different franchises. He won with the New York Yankees in 1994, the Texas Rangers in 2004 and Baltimore in 2014.
