High School Sports:
–Several state Semifinal playoff games were postponed due to inclement weather Tuesday.
–The Mars girls soccer game with Moon in the state Semifinals was postponed until tonight. The matchup will be played at north Allegheny high school at 6:30pm.
–The Seneca Valley-Conestoga match will be played in Chambersburg tonight at 5pm.
–Also the Freeport-Phillipsburg Osceola Volleyball Semifinal was postponed and will be played tonight at 7pm in Punxsutawney.
–North Catholic defeated Thomas Jefferson 3-2 in the Class 3A Semifinals. The Lady Trojans will meet undefeated Pope John Paul II Saturday in the state championship game, which will be played at Cumberland Valley high school. It is the third title berth for North Catholic in four years.
–North Allegheny defeated Pine-Richland 3-1 to reach the state championship. The Tigers will meet Garnet Valley Saturday. It is North Allegheny’s sixth consecutive trip to the state title game.
