The Butler wrestling team defeated Indiana 62-18 last night in their dual-meet season opener. The Golden Tornado dominated the meet, winning 10 of 13 matches with seven pins. Recording the pins were Gavin Rush, Legend Wilkinson, Levi Donnel, Matt Zinkhann, Mickey Kreinbucher, Landon Christie and heavyweight Ethan Babay.
Butler won the 32-team Chartiers Houston team tournament over the weekend. They will host the annual Doc Phillips JV tournament this Saturday beginning at 10am at the Butler Intermediate “Tornado Alley” gymnasium.
The Knoch wrestlers defeated Mars 50-24.
