Authorities are continuing to investigate a series of thefts that recently occurred in Saxonburg.
According to our news partners at WPXI, several unidentified suspects allegedly stole a catalytic converter from a car in a family’s driveway in Hemlock Court in the middle of the night last week.
Officials also say that a similar incident recently occurred at an auto body shop on Butler Road. Local agencies including the Saxonburg Police are working to determine if these cases are related.
Legislators recently passed a bill that provides harsher penalties in an effort to reduce these thefts. The bill is expected to go into effect in January.
Anyone with information regarding this case are asked to contact the Saxonburg Police.
