The Pittsburgh Penguins have had to place defenseman Jeff Petry on long-term injured reserve. Petry after he suffered an upper-body injury after being hit into the boards during the Penguins win over Buffalo last Saturday. He will not be eligible to return to the lineup until mid-January.
The Pens visit Florida Thursday.
