It will cost a little more to go to the Alameda Pool this summer.
County commissioners approved a $2 increase for the daily rate taking it up to $10 for adults.
Park officials say the rising costs of staffing and supplies is driving the increase—they officially cited the fact that chlorine has tripled in price over the past year.
Commissioners say while the Alameda Waterpark very rarely breaks even, last year the pool operated at a loss of $58,000.
There are discounts on season passes available on the parks and recreation website.
