Many will be looking for luck on this Friday the 13th as the Mega Millions jackpot reaches close to record numbers.
The grand prize is worth an estimated $1.35 billion for tonight’s drawing.
Pennsylvania Lottery spokesperson Ewa Swope says the recent Mega Millions jackpot run has led to over $70 million in ticket sales here in the Commonwealth.
“That’s good news for our older residents who rely on the lottery to fund programs like free and reduced transportation, property tax and rent rebates, free meals, and senior centers,” Swope said.
Of the $70 million in sale, about $28 million of that is directed to senior programs according to Swope.
Six previous jackpots have been won on Friday the 13th. The last Mega Millions jackpot hit in Pennsylvania happened back in October 2021.
