A student from the Mars Area School District is facing charges for bringing a knife into school.
Adams Township Police say they received a complaint Wednesday about a student who was bragging that he brought a knife to class.
There was an Adams Township officer who was working at the school investigated. Charging documents say, the officer found that 18-year-old Joseph Cotte-Rocco had a knife with a five-inch blade.
He also allegedly talked about burning the building down.
The district posted a statement on their website saying there was never a threat to anyone’s safety and classes were not disrupted.
Cotte-Rocco was charged with possession of a weapon on campus.
