Snow shovels in the area are collecting more dust rather than moving snow this winter.
New numbers from the National Weather Service say the Pittsburgh region has received only half of the average snowfall so far.
Since the beginning of the meteorological winter, we’ve only had 14.5 inches of snow. In the month of February, it’s only been a half inch of snowfall.
Experts are also saying don’t expect that to change over the next two weeks. New modeling shows only an expected .5 inches of snow over the next 10 days.
Temperatures meanwhile are expected to be 50 degrees and above this week through Thursday.
