The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Nashville Predators 3-1 last night. After Nashville took a 1-0 lead in the third period, Sidney Crosby tied the game with his 27th goal of the season. Jason Zucker scored the game-winner with just under two minutes remaining in the game and Bryan Rust scored an empty-net goal just before time expired. Tristan Jarry stopped 24 of 25 shots for the Pens.
Last night’s game was the first game of a three-game road trip. The Pens visit the Tampa Bay Lightning Thursday.
The Pens have placed forward Brock McGinn and defenseman Mark Friedman on waivers. McGinn has gone without a point in a game since December 22nd. Friedman had just returned from injury.
