A man from Karns City is facing a number of charges after he allegedly assaulted a woman over the weekend.
Police say the incident happened Friday night at a home on Spruce Road in Karns City. A woman told police that 33-year-old Joseph Parker assaulted her with the barrel of a gun. He then grabbed her by the throat and stomped on her hand. Parker also allegedly said that if the woman told police, he would kill her.
Troopers eventually arrested Parker at his home, where they discovered over 200 rounds of ammunition and several knives. He was taken into custody.
Police then got a search warrant for his camper on the property. Inside, they found multiple firearms, a grenade, more ammunition, Kevlar vests, and THC cartridges.
Parker is currently in the Butler County Prison.
