Butler Health System and Excela Health have laid off more than a dozen management jobs.
A spokesperson from BHS says that 13 managerial positions were eliminated from both sides of the newly formed organization.
Officials also say the “positions were derived from various support functions; they were not ones related to direct patient care.”
The moves come as Butler Health System faces financial challenges, with the latest report showing the healthcare organization has lost over $23 million in operating revenue in the second half of last year.
