A teenager died in an overnight accident on I-79.
According to our news partners at WPXI-TV, the crash happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday just north of the split of I-79 and I-279.
Police say 18-year-old Luke Cooper of Crescent was driving north when his car began to hydroplane. The vehicle then went into the guardrail.
Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene.
An 18-year-old male was also in the car at the time of the crash. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
