A couple of local organizations will receive state funding to help improve services to residents in long-term care facilities.
The PA Department of Health is awarding over $162,000 to Magnolia Place of Saxonburg and over $110,000 to Saxony Health Center through the Long-Term Care Quality Investment Pilot Program.
This money will allow for workforce development, staff retention, and infrastructure that supports infection prevention control and emergency preparedness. This federal funding assistance is made available through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
A total of 127 facilities in 43 counties across the state were awarded more than $14 million through this program.
