There is a push among some in the state legislature to move back the first day of deer hunting season.
It was just in 2019 that the game commission approved the move to start the season on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
However, there was legislation recently introduced in the state senate that see it revert back to the following Monday.
Members of the Game Commission recently voted to stick with the Saturday start date, but now that motion will need final approval at a meeting later this month.
