At least one person was seriously injured in an accident Thursday afternoon on Route 8 South.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 5 p.m. for a crash near the Dollar General.
Dispatchers say multiple callers reported a verbal altercation and a male passed out. When crews from Penn Township arrived they found an unresponsive male with a head injury.
A Stat MedEvac medical helicopter was called to the Butler Airport. One person was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital while another was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Traffic was backed up for about 45 minutes while crews were working to clear the scene.
