A local businessman and longtime active member of the community has died.
Earnest “Ernie” Taylor died Thursday morning. He was known by many as Ernie the Chicken King while running the chicken bar-b-que stand for almost 40 years at local carnivals, fairs, and other festivals.
He also participated in local theater with productions at the Butler Little Theatre, Butler Musical Theatre Guild, and Karns City High School.
Visitation will take place Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home with funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. at Graceway Community Church. Ernie Taylor was 83 years old.
