The FBI is warning of a phone scam where someone is pretending to be a member of their office in Pittsburgh.
The number will display as coming from the FBI Pittsburgh, and the scammer will tell the victim that their identity has been compromised to open fraudulent bank accounts.
The caller then requests the victim purchase Money Cards and read their card numbers over the phone. You may also be asked to text photos of the cards and your face.
To date, the FBI says the losses in the region have been anywhere in between $1,000 to $6,000.
The FBI also says law enforcement will never call you if you have an arrest warrant, nor will they ever ask you to send money in order to clear a warrant.
