The Mars Area School Board is rejoining a statewide organization and also making new textbooks available for public review.
At their meeting earlier this week, Mars Board members approved joining the Pennsylvania School Boards Association for next school year by a vote of 5 to 4. The district decided to obtain an All-Access Package at a cost of nearly $24,000. According to administrators, this action will allow the district to take advantage of policy review services as well as live and online training opportunities.
Mars has also selected new English Language Arts textbooks for First Grade as well as Accounting and Child Development materials for high school students. These materials will be available for public viewing at the District’s Administration office through Monday, June 5th.
