Public defender Maura Palumbi earned both the Republican and Democratic nomination for judge on the Butler County Court of Common Pleas.
According to unofficial results, Palumbi defeated her opponent Terri Schultz by a 33 point margin in the Republican primary, and by 18 percent in the Democratic primary.
Palumbi will now be the sole Republican and Democratic candidate on the ballot in the fall.
Common Pleas judges serve a 10 year term in the county.
