Butler County Community College plans to increase a financial award that focuses on students enrolled in programs that emphasize cybersecurity education.
This past spring BC3 handed out $11,000 through a U.S. Department of Defense grant, but come this fall it will be $15,000 for students to help pay for certification tests.
In 2022, 13 students graduated from BC3 cyber security programs and currently have 22 enrolled.
Over the next 3 years BC3 officials say they will spend $400,000 in grants from the Department of Defense as a partner organization.
