Mars Area School District is saying goodbye to several retiring staff members now that the school year has wrapped up.
Four long-tenured teachers with the district are moving on to new adventures.
First grade teacher at Mars Area Primary Center Christine Boeh is retiring after 19 years in order to travel.
Retiring after 38 years, third grade teacher at Mars Area Elementary school Marsha McGroarty will spend time with her family in Seven Fields.
Middlesex Township resident Chris Petrini is retiring after 35 years at Mars including most recently as a fourth grade teacher in order to sleep in and explore new adventures.
After beginning as a math instructor at Mars in 2008, Kim Schuelke is retiring from a Kindergarten teacher position at Mars Area Primary Center to allow time to read, garden, and volunteer at her church.
